District 4-5A Season Preview
by Ace Little, Fever Broadcaster 89.5FM
Hello football fans and welcome to another great season of Football with the Friday Night Fever guys. This is Ace Little the radio voice of the Weatherford Kangaroos.
District 4-5A is tough with four teams ranked in the Top 15 in the area. Summit, North Crowley, Weatherford and Burleson. Summit is the clear favorite as they have a stud named John Childs and he is the real deal. Summit has gone to the spread offense because of him.
North Crowley is picked second and then Burleson and Weatherford. The Roos have a great running back in Willie Fielder. He had 25 rushing TD's last year and two via the pass. The Roos must replace QB Tyler Luttrell and they will put up some points. We open at Abilene Cooper Sept 2 at 7 p.m. Some big games are Weatherford at Summit Oct. 27th, Mansfield at Weatherford Sept. 29, North Crowley at Summit for the title Oct. 13th and Weatherford at Burleson Oct 13th. The Elks have won the last four.
If you get a chance, come see us play. The web page is www.weatherfordfootball.com. If you do come to a game, bring those radios for an experience you will never forget. I tend to get a little crazy when the Roos do something great. Have a great season.
