Panthers Win Over Bearcats
by Paul Barnett, Friday Night Fever Reporter (Texas2AFootball.com)

Paradise 14
Pilot Point 6

Nearly two weeks ago the Paradise Panthers played host to the Pilot Point Bearcats.

It was a defensive battle with the Panthers coming out on top 14-6. The Panthers allowed only 11 yards passing to the Bearcats and Pilot Point's lone score came off of a botched snap on a punt.

The Panthers and Bearcats played to a scoreless tie through the first half of play.

The scoreless tie quickly went away with a Paradise scoring drive to open the second half on a 5 play 66 yard drive. Hunter Watson had 50 of the 66 yards on a run which set up a 4 yard run by Nick Pike to put the Panthers up 7-0.

The Panthers never trailed but did receive a scare after a botched snap on a punt that Pilot Point recovered in the endzone for a touchdown. The Bearcats missed the extra point and the Panthers led 7-6.

Josh Erwin capped off the scoring with an 11 yard touchdown run with 1:24 left in the game.

The Panthers continued their dominace in the rushing game with 244 yards on the ground on 44 carries. Erwin had 108 yards on 17 carries. Watson had 67 yards on 7 carries.
